One of the things that most equipment manufacturers point out is how popular their clubs are with professionals at the highest level, and to be clear, golf isn’t the only sport that highlights big stars using the latest and greatest equipment.
In the case of Titleist, in 2025, they were the number one iron on the PGA Tour for the 11th consecutive season, which, fair to them, shows that when it comes to whom professionals put trust in with their approach play, Titleist earns it year after year.
This is a question I get all the time, because why should regular recreational golfers care what the best players in the world use to hit shots most people could only dream of? It’s because, no matter what, professionals and regular golfers alike rely on the same information and data to get properly fit to maximize their approach performance, and in the case of Titleist, it's the focus on the 3 Ds: Distance, Dispersion, and Descent Angle.
There is no better example than that of European Ryder Cup player Ludvig Aberg, who at the BMW PGA held at Wentworth, put a brand new Titleist T350 long iron into play. The same T350 that is available to all golfers in full sets.
The reason for this change was to create a secondary long game option beyond his 7-wood that he could flight lower when needed, but still offered the right amount of height and stopping power for approaching greens from longer distances.
Inside the Titleist T350 (and T250 irons), the re-engineered full steel body creates a solid structure that allows the internal max impact technology to fit tighter against a new forged L face. This helps with better ball speed generation and retention on shots hit around the face, especially those hit closer to the leading edge.
As for whats on the outside, the sole of the T350 has been designed to provide enhanced playability from almost any lie. From a shaping perspective, the T350 has a progressive blade length (overall size from the toe to the heel) so the long irons can offer more forgiveness and the mid irons can flow better into the wedges while maintaining a high level of forgiveness.
So, whether you're Ryder Cup star Ludvig Aberg, or just a regular golfer looking to maximize your iron and approach play, getting fit with Titleist's 3D approach can ensure that you get the most from every swing.
