Over the last couple of years, I feel that putters have undergone a renaissance, especially in the eyes of consumers. What was once considered the most basic club by many has transformed into a category defined by technology and innovation on the same level as drivers.
Now, although Scotty Cameron putters are generally defined as works of art over tech-forward innovations, it's putters like the newest Studio Xperimental limited release that demonstrate how innovation can be hidden in plain sight.

Studio Xperimental is all about sharing with players something special: prototype-inspired setups crafted for those who demand performance and technology with a clean, tour-proven look. With the line’s multi-material design, chain-link face milling, unique alignment features and custom grip and shaft, every element of Studio Xperimental is designed to inspire confidence – from setup to stroke

When it comes to the new Studio Experimental, it's a little bit of what you see and what you can't.
On the outside, the putter features a glare-resistant Steel Grey PVD coating, while the chain-link milled carbon steel face features a contrasting black nickel finish.

Like other Studio Style putters from the core lineup, the Xperimental models utilize multi-material construction to precisely place mass to boost MOI, while also helping with alignment.
And, speaking of MOI and balance, the Studio Experimental putters offers a slightly heavier head weight, which is then offset with a new custom graphite shaft to offer a slight counterbalancing for added stability without sacrificing player feedback.

With Studio Xperimental Limited, the combination of our SCS face inserts with chain-link face milling really delivers exceptional feel, roll performance and feedback off the putter face. For this release, we also focused on optimizing the putters’ balance with custom graphite shafts that are stiffer and slightly counterbalanced to give players added stability through the stroke.
