Ever been told to order off a restaurant’s “secret menu”? The kind where you feel like you’re in on something...but what shows up isn’t all that different from what was already on the regular menu?
That’s basically what’s happening here.
Because in the same way In-N-Out Burger built a cult around off-menu orders, there’s a version of that inside the Titleist fitting world—where if you know what to ask for, you can unlock a very specific kind of build.
In this case: a GT1 hybrid built UW-style.

So I'm sure the folks at Titleist don't love that I refer to one of their clubs being built to match the type of specs from competitor Callaway, but it's hard to argue it any other way. That said, if you look at it from the other side, the Titleist version is actually more versatile for more players.
The basics come down to this. Thanks to the adjustable hosel adapter of the GT hybrids and fairway woods, it's possible to interchange fairway wood shafts into hybrid heads and vice-versa (although the latter isn’t a likely fitting scenario).
This allows you to build a fairway wood–like club that performs more like a hybrid, meaning it launches lower but with a touch more spin. This is why I say that it performs a lot like a Callaway UW.
In Cam's case, he plays a 20° Titleist GT1 with a Mitsubishi Diamana PD 80 TX fairway shaft. The result helps fill the gap between his GT1 Tour 3-wood and T200 4-iron, which around TPC Sawgrass proved especially useful.
