After being spotted in Hawaii earlier this week wearing Puma shoes and using an unbranded staff bag for a junior clinic, Max Homa and Cobra Puma have made their new partnership official.
The multi-year agreement includes Homa wearing Puma shoes in addition to using a bag of Cobra clubs—including the new DS Adapt LS driver, 3DP 4-iron, King CB 5-iron, and prototype 3D Printed 6-PW.
“Max is a great talent who...demands the highest level of performance from his equipment, and we’ve been excited to introduce him to our new DS-Adapt line of products...[and] our ability to develop 3D printed irons precisely for his needs," said Dan Ladd, President of Cobra Puma Golf. "Max also has a great personality and is a perfect fit for the Cobra Puma Golf family and we couldn’t be happier to welcome him to the team.”
This marks an interesting move for the 34-year-old Homa, who after reaching as high as 5th in the Official World Golf Rankings in 2023, now sits at 41st in the ranking to kick off the season in Hawaii. He had a solid 2024 season including a T3 at The Masters in April, but just lacked top finishes and struggled off the tee - going from 41st in stroked gained 2023 to 164th in 2024.

BUY NOWWhen asked about his club testing process, Max praised the Cobra R&D and fitting teams and the technology they've brought to his new clubs.
"Throughout the testing process, I was incredibly impressed with the performance of the clubs, and I think they will truly give me a competitive advantage," Homa said. "I love the look, sound, and feel of the new DS-Adapt driver, and what the COBRA team was able to do with my personal set of 3D Printed irons absolutely blew my mind. I’m looking forward to a long-term relationship that will be fun and exciting for years to come.”
With lots of changes being made throughout his bag, one thing that isn't changing is Max's golf ball—which is often a big talking point when golfers move between equipment manufacturers. Unlike Callaway, TaylorMade, or Srixon, Cobra doesn't have any golf balls in the market, and with no plans to create a tour offering Max will continue to use a Titleist ProV1X.
Timed with the equipment and shoe change, Homa also signed on to wear lululemon apparel on tour.
