Justin Rose’s Mixed Bag of New & Old Clubs at The Masters

Without an official equipment deal, Justin Rose has one of the most eclectic gear setups in golf.

With modern purse sizes in professional golf continuing to grow to levels that would have seemed incomprehensible less than a decade ago, more and more players at the highest level are choosing to forgo equipment contracts and opting to be gear free agents.

Some of the top names include Justin Rose, Matt Fitzpatrick, Aaron Rai, Jason Day, and of course, the man who is the North star of equipment free agency, Adam Scott. With the freedom to play whatever clubs they choose, many of these players elect to use models of clubs that are now multiple generations old - Aaron Rai, for example, still plays a TaylorMade M6 driver which was released in 2019.

Another player using clubs from the M6 era is first-round Masters leader Justin Rose who uses TaylorMade's M6 fairway woods at the top end of his bag too.

So, with Justin Rose at the top of the leaderboard after round one (and still leading at the time of publication), here is a look into his mixed bag of gear that includes fairway woods and long irons from 2019.
