The return of the Skins Game brought a lot of things, energy, laughs, shot-making, but it also brought one of my favorite trends back into the spotlight: hoodies and sweaters on the course. A few years ago, this combo felt rebellious; today, it’s the unofficial uniform of players who know exactly who they are.
Tommy rolled in wearing a crisp white Nike performance hoodie, clean lines, easy movement, peak modern golf minimalism. Keegan showed up in that navy Flag & Anthem crew, a proper sweater that gives “classic, but I’m still here to compete.” Shane kept it timeless in a deep green knit, the kind of color that makes you look like you belong on every leaderboard. And then there’s Xander, all black, head-to-toe, with a technical hoodie that feels more “urban athlete” than “country club,” in the best way possible.
What made it all work is how effortless it felt. Cashmere, merino, performance blends, the boys weren’t trying to make a statement, but the statement made itself: this is golf now. Clean, cozy, functional, and just elevated enough to look intentional without trying too hard.
If the Skins Game is officially back, let’s hope these fits become the dress code.
