Jones Sports Co. is bringing the rain-tested legacy of Forrester’s Outerwear back to life.
First crafted in the 1950s by Fiske Forrester—a Portland local and avid golfer who refused to let a little weather ruin a round—Forrester’s was built on waterproof performance, layered protection, and Northwest grit. Forrester originally worked in the food service industry focusing on making aprons waterproof for busy kitchens before transitioning his expertise to waterproof golf gear.

Decades later, Team Jones is dusting off the archives and reintroducing the original golf outerwear brand, ready for a new generation of weather-hardened players. "We are honored to carry forward Fiske Forrester’s legacy and remain committed to serving the golf community with passion and purpose," Team Jones said in its announcement this week."
Jones, also based in Oregon, is no stranger to the unpredictable skies that come playing golf in the Northwest. From moisture-wicking base layers to fully waterproof outer shells, Forrester’s has evolved into a full layering system designed for those unpredictable rounds that start sunny and end soaked.
"From the beginning, the mission was clear: create high-performance golfwear that stands up to the elements—and that commitment remains unchanged," the Forresters brand said in on its newly revived Instagram account. "Cheers to reviving 'The Original Golf Outerwear brand.'"
