I’m not trying to fast forward to next week; the Scottish Open is going to be incredible over the weekend. But it’s always a little hard to focus on the current event when there’s a major championship on the horizon, especially when we’re talking about The Open returning to Royal Portrush in Northern Ireland.
This incredible track last hosted the game’s most historic tournament in 2019, when Irishman Shane Lowry hoisted the Claret Jug as the Champion Golfer of the Year.
But I have a feeling this year’s edition is going to be even better.
The storylines are endless, with some of the best players in the world at the top of their games. Oh, and did I forget to mention that a certain newly crowned Career Grand Slam winner grew up not too far from Portrush?
I can’t wait.
But if you didn’t watch the 2019 Open, or if you just want to learn about the course a little bit more before the tournament kicks off next week, we have a couple videos for you to watch.
First off, the R&A posted a 10-minute video to its YouTube channel of drone footage of the course, giving you a tour of the property. Then, YouTube King Rick Shiels played Portrush last year, and this course vlog will give you a great idea of what the guys will face next week.
Enjoy!
