It’s been quite a year for Rory McIlroy. Wins at Pebble Beach, TPC Sawgrass, Augusta National—Career Grand Slam, complete—the Irish Open, and finally, the Ryder Cup at Bethpage Black. His career bucket list has a checkmark in nearly every box after the last nine months.
But he’s not done with 2025 yet.
This week, the Northern Irishman is in New Delhi for the DP World India Championship at Delhi GC. He had a red carpet rolled out for him upon arrival.
And he’s not the only big name in the field. His European teammates Shane Lowry, Tommy Fleetwood, and Viktor Hovland are set to tee it up, along with their captain, Luke Donald. One of Keegan Bradley’s captain’s picks, Ben Griffin, also made the trip. As did Brian Harman, the 2023 Champion Golfer of the Year.
Hovland was forced to withdraw from Sunday Singles of the Ryder Cup due to a neck injury, but is expected to play less than three weeks later.
With the PGA TOUR taking the next several days off, all eyes will be on India and McIlroy.
