Joseph LaMagna of the Fried Egg made waves on Twitter on Monday when he said, "For as distasteful as the Spieth (sponsor) invites have been, the situation with Rickie Fowler is magnitudes grosser.”

Here’s a look at the full post.

Those are some strong words, folks—and I couldn’t disagree more.

But on this week’s Dan on Golf, Skratch’s Dan Rapaport found a response to the post that might be the perfect middle ground.

I agree with what Ben said wholeheartedly, but I also think that this could be a path forward to make everyone happy. But regardless of opinion, this is obviously a problem that the PGA TOUR is going to have to address moving forward.

Also on this week’s episode of DOG, Dan and Ben discuss Justin Rose outlasting J.J. Spaun in three playoff holes to win the FedEx St. Jude, Tommy Fleetwood coming up just short of his first TOUR victory once again, this week’s U.S. Amateur at The Olympic Club, and early Ryder Cup Team picks. Plus, Rick Gehman is back with picks for the BMW Championship.

You can listen to Dan on Golf wherever you get your podcasts or on the Dan on Golf YouTube Channel.
