Everyone’s favorite golf reality show returns on Tuesday.
Season three of Full Swing is set to feature dozens of the game’s best players including Rory McIlroy, Scottie Scheffler, Tom Kim and United States Ryder Cup Captain Keegan Bradley.
One of the highly anticipated moments of the new season is the ridiculous morning that was Day two of the PGA Championship at Valhalla when World No. 1 Scheffler was arrested. It was one of the most bizarre things to happen in sports history, and Full Swing's cameras were there to get reactions from inside the locker room.
Chad Mumm, president of Pro Shop and executive producer of Full Swing, joined Monday’s edition of Dan on Golf to talk about what happened that day in Louisville and what to expect from season three.
“We were so lucky, we already had cameras in the room,” Mumm told Skratch’s Dan Rapaport. “We were following Rory that day, so one of our field teams was already in the locker room at about 5:30 a.m. that morning… they got to see inside the locker room as all the players found out, kind of in real-time. And I think everybody had the exact same reaction. The first reaction is like, ‘This can’t be real.’ And then the second is like, ‘Who?’ Of all the players in the entire world, you know, you would never expect it to be Scottie.”
“I think what people are gonna see in the show is, like, some real never-before-seen moments from that arrest. We got all the body cam footage from the city.”
Also on this week’s episode of DOG, Dan was joined by Paige Spiranic who will be one of the personalities covering the first Creator Classic of the year at TPC Sawgrass the week of the PLAYERS Championship. After playing in the first at East Lake, Spiranic is putting down the clubs and picking up the mic.
Riggs of Barstool Sports joined the show to discuss the PGA TOUR’s partnership with golf content creators, Dan’s stint at Barstool Sports, and the meeting between golf’s power brokers and United States President Donald Trump.
Alan Shipnuck returned for a listener questions segment, Rick Gehman gave his pick for the Cognizant Classic, and TGL’s chief technology officer stopped by to talk about the league’s first season.
