The first round of the 90th Masters is in less than 10 days. The wait is almost over.
With the field practically set—if the winner of the Valero Texas Open isn't yet qualified, they're in—we wanted to go over all the ways a player can qualify for the year's first major championship.
You may not know it, but there are 20 paths available to players that result in a spot on the tee sheet at Augusta National. There are the obvious ones, like winning a Green Jacket, but did you know that if you finish inside the top four of another major championship, you get into the Masters the following year?
Here’s a look at every way a player can earn access to Magnolia Lane.

Win the Masters: Any player with a Green Jacket in their closet can play in the Masters.
Win the U.S. Open: A win at the U.S. Open gets you an invitation to the next five playings of the Masters.
Win the Open Championship: A win at the Open gets you an invitation to the next five playings of the Masters.
Win the PGA Championship: A win at the PGA gets you an invitation to the next five playings of the Masters.

Win the Players Championship: A win at THE PLAYERS gets you an invitation to the next three playings of the Masters.

Win the Olympic Gold Medal: The current gold medalist earns a spot.
Finish in the top two of the U.S. Amateur: Both players get into the following playing of the Masters.
Win the British Amateur: The champion gets into the following playing of the Masters.
Win the Asia-Pacific Amateur: The champion gets into the following playing of the Masters.
Win the Latin America Amateur: The champion gets into the following playing of the Masters.
Win the U.S. Mid-Amateur: The champion gets into the following playing of the Masters.

Win the NCAA Individual title: The champion gets into the following playing of the Masters.
Finish in the top 12 at the Masters: The top 12 finishers including ties from the previous year’s Masters get an invite.
Finish in the top four of the U.S. Open: The top four finishers including ties from the previous year’s U.S. Open get an invite.
Finish in the top four at the Open Championship: The top four finishers including ties from the previous year’s Open get an invite.
Finish in the top four at the PGA Championship: The top four finishers including ties from the previous year’s U.S. Open get an invite.
Win a PGA TOUR event: A player who wins a PGA TOUR event that carries a full FedEx Cup points allocation between the previous year’s Masters and this year’s Masters gets an invite.

Qualify for the TOUR Championship: All 30 players that qualify for the previous year’s TOUR Championship gets an invite.
Finish the year in the top 50: All players inside the top 50 of the Official World Golf Ranking on January 1 get an invite.
Be in the top 50 of the OWGR the week ahead of the tournament: All players ranked inside the top 50 in the world during the week prior to the Masters gets an invite.

*Also new this year, the Masters adds another screen to the mix. Prime Video will handle the early window for the first two rounds of the tournament, Thursday April 9 and Friday April 10 (1–3 p.m. ET), before coverage moves to ESPN through 7:30 p.m. Come the weekend, it’s back to the usual split: Paramount+ from 12–2 p.m., then CBS to close.
