The Best Masters Par 3 Moments of All Time

AUGUSTA, Ga. — The Par 3 Contest has become one of the best parts of Masters week. It’s a well-deserved break for the players in the field as they battle both mental and physical exhaustion preparing for the year’s first major championship.

It's a traditional that goes back to the 1960 Masters Tournament, when Sam Snead took home the inaugural honor. Tournament participants and non-competing past champions usually bring along their families, with kids and grandkids often on the bag for some of the top pros.

We get to see the game’s biggest stars in a light we’re not accustomed to, spending time with loved ones and simply enjoying the time they spend together.
