Let’s Rank the Tandems Playing in LIV Golf’s 'The Duels: Miami'

LIV Golf is taking a page out of the PGA TOUR's book with its "The Duels" down in Miami.

LIV Golf is taking a page out of the PGA TOUR’s playbook and putting on a creator-focused show at its Miami event on April 5 at Trump National Doral.

The creators playing in the event are George and Wesley Bryan, Luke Kwon, Rick Shiels, Grant Horvat, and Fat Perez. Horvat won the Creator Classic at TPC Sawgrass a few weeks ago, while Kwon won the inaugural CC at East Lake last summer.

Each creator will be paired with a LIV golfer for a nine-hole scramble match. The event will be streamed exclusively on Horvat’s YouTube channel which boasts a subscriber count of 1.11 million.

Let’s rank the best teams—and fair warning, I’m going off entertainment value.

Best Teams for LIV Golf's "The Duels" in Miami

6. Sergio Garcia and George Bryan

Maybe they'll step up, but I think a lot of people would agree that this team is sixth out of six.

5. Bubba Watson and Luke Kwon

Kwon is a past champ of this kind of event, so this pair couldn't go last.

4. Joaquin Niemann and Rick Shiels

Shiels is used to this creator environment, we'll see if that rubs off on Niemann.

3. Dustin Johnson and Wesley Bryan

Okay, here's where my interest starts. I think the first three teams could be a bit of a snooze, but If anyone can get DJ out of his shell on camera, it’s Wes.

2. Phil Mickelson and Grant Horvat

Lefty and Grant have been in several YouTube videos together already, so their chemistry is already there.

1. Cam Smith and Fat Perez

You wanna talk vibes? Does it get any better than FP and the Aussie? I wouldn’t be surprised if we see a couple shoey chugs from these boys.
