There are moments when you realize that professional golf couldn’t be less relatable to the amateur level. And I’m not talking about college players and world-class youngsters, I’m talking about my fellow weekend hacks.
This week’s U.S. Open at Oakmont Country Club is one of those moments.
The Pittsburgh gem’s eighth hole is a par-3 and it’s long. How long? Well, Collin Morikawa hit driver during his Monday practice round. Yup, the big stick!
Is it ridiculous? Yeah, absolutely. But it’s also the U.S. Open, it’s supposed to be carnage!
