The PGA TOUR is back in the Sunshine State for its annual extended stay, beginning with the Cognizant Classic at PGA National. The first of four Florida stops once again winds through the Bear Trap, and an old friend is set to make his first start in Palm Beach Gardens since 2022.
Brooks Koepka missed the cut at the WM Phoenix Open a few weeks ago, but a little home cooking might be exactly what he needs at his hometown event. On Tuesday, the TOUR announced that $1 million of Koepka’s $5 million charitable pledge—part of his return via the Returning Members Program—will go to the Nicklaus Children’s Health Care Foundation, the tournament’s primary charitable beneficiary.

The field has taken a few hits in recent days, including Jacob Bridgeman, Adam Scott, and Ben Griffin. Still, there’s plenty of firepower on the tee sheet: Shane Lowry, Will Zalatoris, Max Homa, Tom Kim, Billy Horschel, and Luke Clanton remain in the mix.
The Champion Course at PGA National, designed by Tom Fazio, is a par 71 stretching 7,223 yards. By Sunday afternoon, the winner will walk away with $1.728 million from a $9.6 million purse and 500 FedExCup points.
