SOUTHAMPTON, NY — Wyndham Clark made it look pretty damn easy over the first two days of the U.S. Open, posting rounds of 64-69 to hold the solo-lead at 7 under. But there were plenty of notable names who struggled with Shinnecock Hills and are headed home a few days early.
The group includes Jon Rahm, who missed just his second cut in his last 27 major championship starts.
Here's a look at the long list of big names who missed the cut at the U.S. Open.
U.S. OPEN: How to Watch
Bryson DeChambeau, 5 Over (70-75)

For the third major in a row, DeChambeau is headed home after two days—but remember, YouTube Golf is great prep for the biggest tournaments in the world!
Viktor Hovland, 5 over (76-69)

Hovland played solid golf on Day 2, but an opening-round 76 was too much to overcome for the Norwegian.
Rickie Fowler, 5 Over (71-74)

Fowler had a 12-foot birdie putt on his 36th hole, but couldn't get it to go. He's now missed three straight cuts this season.
Patrick Reed, 5 Over (72-73)

After two top-15 finishes at the Masters and PGA Championship, Reed is headed home after two rounds at Shinnecock.
Jon Rahm, 6 Over (68-78)

It looked like Rahm was going to be right in the conversation over the weekend after opening with a 68, but the Spaniard played some ugly golf on Friday.
Patrick Cantlay, 6 Over (74-72)

Many liked Cantlay's chances this week, but it'll be another major championship disappointment for arguably the best player without one.
Shane Lowry, 6 Over (73-73)

The Irishman played all four rounds at the Masters and PGA Championship, but he won't do the same in the Hamptons.
Cameron Smith, 6 Over (75-71)

After tying for seventh at Aronimink last month, Smith, as he did at the Masters, missed the cut at the U.S. Open.
Min Woo Lee, 7 Over (74-73)

Lee missed the cut at the Masters back in April, and he had the same fate at Shinnecock.
Adam Scott, 8 Over (73-75)

Scott made his 100th consecutive major championship start this week, but it'll end two days earlier than he had hoped.
Jake Knapp, 8 Over (77-71)

This was Knapp’s first start since the RBC Heritage in April, and the rust was obvious during a Thursday 77.
Brooks Koepka, 10 Over (73-77)

Shinnecock's 2018 champion won't have the opportunity to win on Long Island this time around after a tough Friday.
