Alright TGL, I'll bite...what's an official team ambassador?
The very zealous, and always energetically infectious Megan Khang, a bright star on the LPGA Tour, was just announced to be an ambassador to the Boston Common team comprised of Rory McIlroy, Keegan Bradley, Adam Scott, and Hideki Matsuyama.
Khang is a Boston local, and she even pulled up to TGL earlier this year to support the indoor golf league and mighty Frogs.
It's unclear as to what exactly an ambassador is and what Khang will do, but the announcement post shared that Khang "will be a key part of growing our New England community initiatives".
Don't get me wrong, I love to see the new league finding ways to make season two more exciting and giving this thing legs (I got more baddies to crown)—but can we get LPGA players to be a part of this thing officially?!
Now granted, the women's season is played much into the Fall, ending just before Thanksgiving, so timing is certainly an issue, but the next TGL season, Season 2, is scheduled to begin on Sunday, December 28—so there's a little bit of a window.
Maybe there are already talks of this happening, but if not, consider this the plea to get the women involved and let's make mixed teams, or a special all-stars LPGA squad happen at the SoFi Center!
