Scottie Scheffler, the No. 1-ranked player in the world and Texas native, has withdrawn from this week’s Texas Children’s Houston Open at Memorial Park Golf Course. Unsurprisingly, he entered the week as the heavy betting favorite despite some recent lackluster performances.

According to Golf Channel's Brentley Romine, the WD isn't injury related. Instead, Scottie and Meredith are set to welcome their second child. Congrats to the Schefflers!

Scheffler, who finished outside the top 20 in his last two starts at the Arnold Palmer Invitational and PLAYERS Championship, has three runner-up finishes across five starts at Memorial Park.

With his new kid, plus the fact that his last start at the Valero Texas Open came in 2021, the next time we see him will probably be at Augusta National for the Masters.
