The 2025 Ryder Cup is officially underway—the last four days have felt like a month.
Jon Rahm hit the opening tee shot, but the tournament really started when Bryson DeChambeau pummeled a drive just short of the first green. The crowd’s reaction was electric.
But the first highlight from Bethpage Black came courtesy of the Spaniard.

On the par-4 sixth, Tyrrell Hatton’s drive darted low and left, eventually finding the fescue. It looked like the Americans would moonwalk to a win. But Rahm had other plans. He actually hit it inside Bryson DeChambeau’s approach shot that came from 91 yards in the fairway.
Through six holes, Rahm and Hatton were 1 down to Justin Thomas and DeChambeau.
