Just In: A Small Plane Was Just Forced to Land at Riviera Country Club

"Typical kikuyu first bounce."

This is absolutely wild.

A small plane was forced to perform an emergency landing at Riviera Country Club on Friday after failing to land at Santa Monica Airport. It landed safely on the golf course and all three people on board were fine.

Riviera is the annual host of the Genesis Invitational, a PGA TOUR event hosted by a Mr. Tiger Woods—ever heard of him? However, this year’s edition was held at Torrey Pines due to wildfires in the Los Angeles area. It’s also set to host the men’s and women’s golf competitions at the 2028 Olympics.

I’m glad to hear everyone is fine—but this tweet made me laugh.

Even Phil Mickelson chimed in.
