LeBron James has turned himself into a golf sicko. He made his YouTube Golf debut with Bob Does Sports earlier this year, and he’s no stranger to tweeting out his takes during golf’s biggest events. But at this week’s U.S. Women’s Open at Riviera, he took his support up a notch by gifting World No. 1 Nelly Korda a pair of LeBron 23-inspired Nike Victory Pro 4 golf shoes.
The bad news, however, is they didn’t last long on Korda’s feet.
After playing her first five holes in 1 over, Korda switched out the LeBron-inspired kicks for her regular gamers.
Following her round, she said she "just felt more comfortable (in my own shoe)."
Korda signed for a 2-over 73 at Riviera on Thursday morning as she chases her first U.S. Women’s Open title. Her best finish at the event came a year ago at Erin Hills where she tied for second.
