Whether you are rooting for Rory McIlroy in the final round of the Masters or not, it has been an emotional Sunday at Augusta National. From an opening two-tap double to besting Bryson DeChambeau's back-to-back bogeys on Nos. 2 and 3 with birdies of his own, the Irishman is putting on a show golf fans will not soon forget.
Chasing that career grand slam, McIlroy still holds the solo lead heading into the back nine. Nothing is guaranteed at this storied course, and there's still a lot of golf to play, but we're not sure how many more ups and downs our hearts can take.
If there aren't tears in your eyes yet, grab some tissues as we set the scene some 3,600 miles away from Augusta, Georgia in McIlroy's hometown of Belfast, Northern Ireland.
Members at McIlroys Holywood Golf Club in County Down, Belfast gathered to cheer on the local favorite in his pursuit of a long-awaited Green Jacket and the emotions are palpable.
