It's crazy to believe that we're 11 weeks into 2026, and the LPGA has yet to play a full-field event.
The season opener is reserved for winners from the previous two seasons and some players choose to opt out of the first trip to Asia so early in the year. But fret not golf fans! Our patience is being heavily rewarded, because the field for next week's Founders Cup has been set and it's unreal.
Headlined by Jeeno Thitikul and Nelly Korda, the top-two ranked players in the world, this is a mixed bag field that will also feature major winners, Epson Tour graduates, and plenty of 2026 rookies. Last year's champion Yealimi Noh will look to defend.
Most notably, this will be Korda's first event back after her win at the Tournament of Champions earlier this year, but World No. 3 Charley Hull will be absent from the action. She'll be back for the Ford Championship the following week.

First contested in 2011, the Founders Cup is a celebration of the past, present, and future of women's golf. It started out as an event for charity that didn’t offer a purse for players, but has evolved into being a a real point of focus for the LPGA and a full-fledged Tour stop that attracts the best talent. This year’s event features a $3 million purse, increased from $2 million from last year, at an all new venue that's a part of Commissioner Craig Kessler's wishlist for building out a real west coast swing.
