She's Been Playing Like the Best Golfer in the World...

What Nelly Korda did in 2024 will go down as one of the best, most dominant performance in modern women's golf. She earned her rightful place at the top, without a doubt. Seven wins, five of them being consecutive titles, Player of the Year—it was all deserved.

But 2024 was also the year of Jeeno Thitikul. Late last summer, the 22-year-old began a quiet tear. Managing to finish inside the top-10 in eight straight events—including a historic win at the CME Group Tour Championship, where Thitikul took home the largest single prize payout in women's golf history.

But she didn't stop there. Once 2025 came around, she kept going.

Collecting top-10s like they were infinity stones, the young star from Thailand was on a heater, and she's been the best player on Tour this season. She's a five-time LPGA winner, and in 13 starts this season, she has one win, two runner-ups at the Evian Championship and HSBC Women's World Championship and four additional top-5 finishes in 2025.

Thitikul first rose to No. 1 in 2022 as a rookie but was only there for two weeks. She now begins her second stretch after a T-30 performance at the AIG Women's British Open, where Korda tied for 36th. Miyu Yamashita won the title with a score of 11 under.

As for Korda, she spent 17-months at the helm, but remains winless in 2025. And that's not to say that she's playing poorly. The 26-year-old hasn't missed a cut this season. And heading into AIG, she had a lower scoring average, better strokes gained total, and strokes gained putting averages than at this point last season.

It goes to show you, just how the competitive parity across the LPGA is.
