Jake Knapp Withdrew from API at the Buzzer—and Golf Betting Twitter Is Losing It

Knapp was a popular pick in the betting community this week, and his WD from Bay Hill sent that group into a tailspin.

Before his first-round tee time, Jake Knapp withdrew from the Arnold Palmer Invitational.

Thanks to his ridiculous form coming into the week at Bay Hill—five finishes of T-11 or better to open the season—Knapp was a popular pick in the betting community. I don’t blame them. His game fits Arnie’s Place to a T. In his debut at the event in 2024, he made the cut and tied for 57th.

If you think all those folks who had Knapp in their lineups or betting cards reacted rationally, you’d be wrong—granted, some handled it with class.

No reason was given for Knapp’s WD, but with THE PLAYERS next week, hopefully it’s nothing serious.
