Grant Horvat Turned Down a PGA TOUR Invite and the Social Media Reaction Has Been…Mixed

On Tuesday, Grant Horvat sent Golf Twitter into a frenzy when he announced he would not be playing in this week’s Barracuda Championship because the PGA TOUR would not allow his team to film his rounds. He later added that it would have been one cameraman outside the ropes.

Turning down a TOUR invite is wild, but Grant has risen to his place in the game because of social media and YouTube, so I guess I can see where he’s coming from—although I don’t agree.

Golf Twitter exploded with takes almost instantaneously, and they were about as mixed as it gets.
