Well, Sunday just got a whole lot more interesting.
After sleeping on a six-shot lead Friday night, defending champion Rory McIlroy stumbled on Moving Day, signing for a 1-over 73. It wouldn’t have been the end of the world if Cameron Young hadn’t fired a 7-under 65 to catch him. The two players, who shared each other’s company for the first two rounds, will once again play together in the final group.
But McIlroy’s struggles also brought a whole lot of other players into the conversation, including World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler, who, like Young, signed for a 65 and will tee off four shots off the lead.
What a final round we have in store.
Here’s a look at the tee times and pairings for Sunday at Augusta National.
