The Craziest Stats From a standout April on the PGA TOUR - Presented by CDW
April was a stellar month for men's professional golf, which was kicked off by Min Woo Lee winning in Houston and followed by Rory McIlroy completing the Career Grand Slam at the Masters. After that, Justin Thomas and Brian Harman both had wins to end their winless droughts.
In the case of Rory and some unreal stats, his approach shots into the 15th, 16th, and 17th holes on Sunday during the final round were hit to 6', 9', and 2', which, when the numbers were crunched, had a probability of 1 in 28700! Not only that, but Justin Thomas shot 61 during the first round at the RBC Heritage to tie the course record - his 9th time doing that on the PGA Tour during his career.
To dive further into the standout stats from other winners on the PGA TOUR in April, we spoke with our lead data analyst, super smart stats guy, and the Assistant Mens Golf Coach at Princeton, Lou Stagner to break it down.
