It’s November 1991. Prince’s “Cream” is dominating the music charts. And at the annual Skins Game at PGA West, a star-studded foursome took center stage.

Jack Nicklaus, Payne Stewart, Curtis Strange, and Raymond Floyd went to battle on the Pete Dye design, and there was no shortage of storylines. Daly was just a few months removed from his improbable win at the PGA Championship, and it would go down as Nicklaus’ final appearance in the beloved event.

In the end, Stewart won the first of his three straight Skins Game wins with $260,000. Daly was the runner-up with $160,000, Strange took home $120,000, and the Golden Bear was shut out.

With the Skins Game revival just a few weeks away, we wanted to reminisce a little bit. So, we lined up four members of our Skratch team to watch along with Stewart’s 1991 win and make some wagers of their own. Our Chad Mumm, Wells Adams, Dan Rapaport, and Ben Boskovich got together and it was a good, good time.

Enjoy.

And just a reminder: the Skins Game returns on Black Friday (November 28) with a match between four greats in the modern game at Panther National in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, a course designed by Justin Thomas and Jack Nicklaus. All coverage will be available on Prime Video.
