EVANS, Ga. — In the era of golf logo-flexing, there's one that just doesn't get enough love for me.
The Augusta National/Masters logo is easily the most recognizable, even to non-golfers, but I'd like to put up a bid for the ANWA magnolia flower to get the recognition it deserves. And I'm not the only one!
People really dig the stylized rendition of one of the signature flora, native to the area and much of the south. And yes, it's a flower and not the delicious fried appetizer onion you get from Outback.
It fits the overall softer, more feminine aesthetic of the championship that places the power of women at the forefront. Preluding the men the week before, ANGC has allowed space for the Women's Amateur to take its own shape and develop its own identity—and the logo is at the center of that. Albeit cheesy—it really does give a whole new meaning to the phrase "flower power".
In a recent post on Skratch, I shared the official Augusta National Women's Amateur 2026 championship merchandise, and there was some minor discourse in the comments about the logo in particular.
It's rare that a women's event merch gets so much attention, and I can tell you first hand that the golf shop at Champions Retreat is selling product like hotcakes. It's a hot commodity, and it's bad ass to see so many people embracing such an overlooked area of golf. Going to ANWA is the flex you think it is.
And you better believe I got the sweater with the massive magnolia on the front and I'll rock it with pride.
