Vokey Reveals Limited Edition SM10 Black Vapor Wedges

When it comes to wedge options, few can rival the sheer volume of choices available from Titleist and Vokey. Once you add in custom options and the aesthetic choices you have through the Wedge Works program, including paint fill, it's almost an endless smorgasbord.

Well, the smorgasbord just got a little bit bigger once more with the introduction of the new Black Vapor finish, which is now available for pre-order today.

What are SM10 Black Vapor wedges all about?

The new Titleist Vokey SM10 Black Vapor wedges have all the same technology you'd expect from the SM10 line; spin milled grooves, heat-treated face for durability, adjusted CoG (center of gravity) through the loft options, and all 27 loft and bounce combinations available (when ordered through custom), but now with an extremely dark and glare reducing finish.

As for the finish itself, similar to the recently launched oil can wedges, the Black Vapor is a Titanium Carbide Vapor finish that is applied through a PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition - yeah I just learned what that meant too) treatment. This helps to not only offer a unique finish that is smudge resistant, but also more durable than traditional coatings.

“A player has to love their wedge when they look down at it, and finish plays a key role,” said Master Craftsman Bob Vokey. “Having confidence in your wedge at address is hugely important.”

As for options, the stock Black Vapor SM10 wedges come with a unique Golf Pride Z-Cord grip as well as an exclusive Dynamic Gold Onyx wedge shaft. You can also custom order through Vokey Wedge Works to get custom stamping, unique toe engravings, paint, and other custom shaft and grip options.

These limited-edition SM10 Wedges will be available for pre-order starting today, June 26th, and will be in-store July 24 while supplies last. They will be priced at $225 each in the stock configuration.
