For golf equipment sleuths Mondays are a big day in the world of new clubs because that's when the USGA and R&A update their joint conforming clubs list for the purpose of competition, which also means it's the first opportunity for us to get a preview of the newest equipment before it hits shelves.

Last Monday was a big day as Ping and Callaway each joined the list on the 2025 driver front, providing a sneak peek of the Ping G440 and the Callaway Elyte. This news followed after Cobra and Srixon drivers - the Cobra DS-Adapt and Srixon ZXi models made their way onto the list a few weeks before.
After much speculation, it's TaylorMade's time to shine as the Qi35 arrived this week with three models getting officially revealed to the world.

With the three new models on the list being the Qi35 (Core), Qi35 LS, and QI35 Max here are three first thoughts on TaylorMades newest 2025 drivers
One change designers have made from the Qi10 core model is the positioning of the weight on the sole. The Qi35 has it’s weight directly behind the center of the face rather than towards the heel, with the goal likely being to create lower spin and a more neutral ball flight.

Another big change from model to model is with the LS and the removal of the forward sliding weight track. The last time TaylorMade had a driver lineup without a sliding track was back with the SIM2 in 2021.
The difference with the Qi35 LS compared to the Sim2 is that the LS will have two forward adjustable weights, likely designed to save mass from the housing used to hold the weight to make this driver more forgiving.

For several manufacturers, it looks like 10K MOI is here to stay and with a little nod on the sole of the Qi35 MAX, it sure looks like TaylorMade is digging deeper into the 10K realm, making it the first company to offer a second generation 10K driver. With the original Qi10 Max being such a big hit with golfers across the board, we're watching to see if its popularity continues to grow.

No word yet on who might have one of these in play or on an exact retail date, but stay tuned for more information as it becomes available. But, if you’re looking for a driver the current Qi10 series is currently on sale and available now.
This driver has been strategically engineered to help players optimize distance and enhance forgiveness, wrapped in a clean, confident package.
