Zero torque putters are everywhere, and just like mini drivers, what started off as a bit of a niche product made by one or two companies has evolved into a full-blown category of clubs. For PXG their new Bat Attack ZT comes on the heels of the successful launch of their original zero torque putter, the Allan.
The Bat Attack ZT builds on the success of the Allan by offering one of PXG's most popular putter designs in a zero torque configuration.
At the heart of the design is PXG's S-hosel, which positions the shaft axis (where the line of the shaft passes through the putter head) just slightly above the center of gravity. This encourages the putter to stay square to the arch of the stroke to help eliminate variables in face angle to get more putts online more often.

Another key design feature is a built-in 2-degrees of forward press to help golfers get into the ideal impact position at address. When paired with the PXG Slant grip that angles the grip in a neutral position off the shaft axis, it promotes a consistent putting stroke with limited manipulation. On a bit of a personal note from my experience - the square design of the PXG Slant grip also makes it extremely easy to line up and grip at address, so if you're a golfer who struggles to find consistent grip alignment, this could be your ticket!
At the core (pun fully intended) of the Bat Attack ZT, is PXG's S-Cor Polymer - a material utilized in all of their Battle Ready family of putters to dramatically increase MOI by reducing the mass within the head. A secondary benefit of the S-Cor Polymer is that it allows for the putter to maintain a soft feel without the use of an insert.
Last but not least, the face has an aggressive milled pyramid pattern to promote forward roll along with producing a crisp impact sound for more precise distance control.
The PXG Bat Attack ZT putter is available now for fittings at PXG retail locations and online at PXG.com. It's available in right and left-handed and will be priced at $450.
