The countdown to the 2026 Solheim Cup is underway, and major style storylines are already emerging for women’s golf’s biggest stage.

Just last week, adidas was named the official footwear supplier for Team Europe, and will be outfitting players, captains, caddies, and event staff throughout the competition.

European captain Anna Nordqvist, who primarily wears J.Lindeberg for her on-course looks, also weighed in on the decision saying, "The iconic adidas brand is world renowned for its leading sports products and I am confident that the footwear will be well received by the players, for its comfort, style and versatility."

Ping, founded by Karsten Solheim—the namesake of the biennial match—will continue as Team Europe’s apparel partner.

This partnership feels like a massive, and style-friendly win for the competition, but know that the three stripes is no stranger to the action at Solheim. One of its ambassadors and arguably the best-dressed women's golfer in the game right now, Linn Grant, has rocked their kicks for both of her Solheim Cup appearances in 2023 and 2024.

"I love competing in adidas shoes week in, week out on Tour, and I’m beyond excited that the iconic 3-stripes will be represented at the Solheim Cup this year," Grant said in the official announcement. "It’s incredible to be part of a brand that is openly and proudly supporting the women’s game."

It's important to note that this does not mean that all athletes for Team Europe will be wearing adidas footwear in competition, as players have their own sponsorships and partners to oblige to. But rather the team will wear the footwear during official team moments such as the opening and closing ceremonies and official photocalls.

As for the fans, both on site and at home, adidas footwear and apparel will be available for purchase in the tournament merchandise area throughout the Solheim Cup. Some special drops to look forward to are a limited‑edition women’s footwear style inspired by Team Europe’s blue and yellow colors, will be revealed and sold exclusively on site. Adidas will also release an Originals Golf Gazelle, available in men's and women's sizes that will also feature that signature blue and yellow, alongside a men’s performance golf shoe. Details around these releases have yet to be announced.

"This partnership underlines our commitment to elevating women’s golf at every level and I can’t wait to see the players, caddies, staff and helpers in our footwear at Bernardus Golf in September," said Chris Hedderman, Marketing and Product Director for Europe at adidas Golf about the collaboration.

The Solheim Cup will be contested at Bernardus Golf in the Netherlands, from September 7-13.
