A Lim Kim Just Took "Look Good, Play Good" to a Whole New Level

If golf rewarded players strokes for how they dressed (or accessorized), A Lim Kim would take the cake for her wardrobe during the opening round of the ISPS HANDA Women's Scottish Open.

The 30-year-old stepped out at Dundonald Links sporting a whimsical pair of fluffy bunny earmuffs, perfectly paired with her signature Oakley sunnies as she battled the unpredictable weather that comes with links golf. It was a look that was equal parts practical, playful and impossible to miss—which is exactly why it just works.

I don't think Kim is setting any trends with this look, and that's okay, because this feels like her.

Pulling off something like that takes a certain level of confidence, and Kim has never been afraid to let her personality shine. She's bold and expressive in her playing style, sprinkling in fist pumps and the occasional dance move after clutch shots.

And there's something about that kind of self-assurance that often translates to good golf. When a player feels comfortable in their own skin, it tends to show up in their game, too. Kim backed up her eye-catching look with a strong opening round of 67.

"Today I putted -- it was really great, really well," she said about her strong start. She carded seven birdies, two bogeys, and took just 24 putts to complete her round.

With an afternoon tee time, Kim battled some heavy gusts of wind resulting in her need for the warm head gear, but that didn't deter her, or her strategy for navigating the tough conditions.

"I really practice my imagination, and sometimes trust is very hard, trust is really hard for me but [I] keep trying."

With the way she's playing, she'd better keep those earmuffs in the bag!
