Welcome to the final event of the regular season, folks. Somehow, someway, we've already made it to the Wyndham Championship, and next week, 70 players will remain as the PGA TOUR heads to Memphis for the FedEx St. Jude Championship.
With 72 holes remaining before the cutdown, plenty of notable names are around the top-70 bubble, including the 21-year-old winner of the 3M Open.
But before we get into it, I wanted to cover some quick information about the Wyndham and playoffs as a whole. The winner at Sedgefield will earn 500 FedExCup points. After Memphis, the top 50 players will earn a spot in the BMW Championship, and from there, the top 30 players will head to Atlanta, where the winner will go home with $10 million.
Now, let's dive into five big names who are on the FedExCup Bubble.

5 PGA TOUR Stars on the FedExCup Playoffs Bubble

Tony Finau (No. 89)

Finau has never missed the playoffs as a professional, but that streak is now in serious jeopardy. He was in a decent position to earn some FedExCup points on Sunday at the Rocket Classic, but fired a final-round 77 that pushed him into a tie 71st and actually dropped him from 87th to 89th in the points standings.
As for the Wyndham, Finau will make just his second appearance at Sedgefield Country Club. A year ago, in his tournament debut, the World No. 134 tied for 44th.
He’s been a staple of the postseason for the last decade, but he’ll need a fantastic showing in North Carolina to earn a spot in the FedEx St. Jude Championship.
Brooks Koepka (No. 86)
A male golfer in a white cap crouches on the putting green, intently focusing on his shot.
Koepka was originally in the field for last week’s Rocket Classic, but withdrew on Tuesday due to personal reasons. Needing a few good starts to earn a spot in the postseason, the last-second WD put a damper on his playoff hopes. Now, sitting at 86th in the standings, he’ll make just his second start at the Wyndham since 2016.
In the middle of the season, Koepka racked up six top-20 finishes in a nine-start stretch, but for the year, he also missed five cuts, finished outside the top 50 twice, and withdrew from the RBC Canadian Open. A true rollercoaster campaign for the five-time major champion.
If he squeaks into the postseason, he won’t collect anything from the FedExCup Bonus Program after utilizing the Return Members Program in January.
Jason Day (No. 75)

Day started the season on the right foot, tying for second at the American Express. But since, he’s finished inside the top 20 just twice: T-6 at the Texas Children’s Houston Open and T-12 at the Masters. And over his last six starts, he’s finished 68th, T-65, and T-55, missed two cuts, and withdrew from the U.S. Open with a back injury.
It hasn’t been a season to look fondly on for Mr. Day.
But with a decent-to-good week at Sedgefield, he’ll earn a spot at the FedEx St. Jude. He just has to lock in and get it done.
Keegan Bradley (No. 72)
Golfer in a Srixon hat and navy sweater looking intently on the course.
It’s been a weird season for Bradley. I was shocked to see he’s yet to grab a top-10 finish. But at the same time, he’s finished T-26 or better four times in his last six starts. So, he’s trending in the right direction, but he only has one more chance to get into the postseason.
Sitting at 72nd, he doesn’t need something overly special. A top 20 should give him a chance.
At last year’s Wyndham, Bradley missed the cut. But in 2024, he tied for 22nd. After what happened at Bethpage, I’m sure making the playoffs would mean a lot to the World No. 45.
Jackson Koivun (No. 70)
Man in a cap and polo shirt holding a trophy against a clear blue sky.
Put your hands together for Bubble Boy 2026 going into the final regular season event. To be honest, it’s bonkers to see Koivun in this position after making just four pro starts: MC at the John Deere Classic, T-10 at the ISCO Championship, win at the 3M Open, and T-31 at the Rocket Classic.
Now he heads to the Wyndham needing a solid week to earn a trip to Memphis—and I wouldn’t bet against him. As an amateur a year ago, he tied for fifth at Sedgefield. Not only do I think he’ll easily make the postseason, I think he could mess around and win again come Sunday.
