Lexi Thompson's Next Big Adventure Won't Be on the Golf Course

After stepping away from the full-time LPGA grind to make room for life beyond golf, Lexi Thompson has some exciting news from outside the ropes.

The 11-time LPGA winner just announced that she and husband Max Provost are expecting their first child, a baby girl, due in February 2027. Thompson shared the news on Instagram with a series of photos of her, her hubby, and their sweet puppy Leo with the caption, "The greatest blessing of our lives is on the way!"

It's been quite the year for Thompson, who married Provost in Florida back in March. Now, just five months later, the couple has another pretty big reason to celebrate.

Before Thompson trades tee times for a nursery, though, she has some golf to play.

The 31-year-old is in the field this week at the Standard Portland Classic, where she'll tee it up alongside World No. 2 Jeeno Thitikul, defending champion Aki Iwai, and a slew of other LPGA stars.

There's also a pretty interesting reason to be watching the mom-to-be in Portland: The Solheim Cup.

If she's going to make the U.S. team this September, she'll need a captain's pick from Angela Stanford, with just two events left before the team is finalized. Thompson has played in seven Solheim Cups, so it's not hard to imagine the veteran making a push for one more.

And she certainly wouldn't be the first player to navigate the Solheim Cup while expecting. Alison Lee was nearly eight weeks pregnant when she helped Team USA win the 2024 Solheim Cup.

But beyond the golf, I'm sure the idea of welcoming her baby girl is top of mind. Congratulations Lexi and Max!
