Back in November, Justin Thomas announced that he had undergone a microdiscectomy and would be sidelined for the foreseeable future. He did, however, say that he’d miss the early portion of the PGA TOUR season, but would be back on the golf course sometime in 2026.

Well, he’s taken the first of many steps to get back out there with the boys.

On Wednesday, JT posted a video to his Instagram account showing him finally with a club in his hands, doing some chipping work. “Feels nice to *slowly* work my way back. Happy to be back out chipping and putting,” Thomas wrote.

The World No. 9 finally got back into the winner’s circle in April at the RBC Heritage, his first W since the 2022 PGA Championship. Here’s hoping his recovery continues to progress and he contends for more wins in 2026.
