Hannah Green Phones Fellow Aussie Min Woo Lee for Advice

With the LPGA Tour's first major of the season, the Chevron Championship, rapidly approaching—players are putting the final touches on their last-minute preparations. Some are choosing to play in this week's event in LA while others have opted out, and others, like 7-time LPGA winner Hannah Green, are leaning in on advice from her PGA TOUR friends.

In case you missed it, Chevron will have a new home this year at Memorial Park in Houston, moving across town from The Club at Carlton Woods. The TOUR just hosted the Memorial tournament, where Gary Woodland delivered one of the best wins in recent memory, and in a few short days, one of the women will write her name into the course's history books.

Green, who is great friends with Minjee Lee, called up her Tour bestie's brother, the chef himself Min Woo Lee, to get some inside scoop on Memorial. "I did ask Min Woo as he won there last year," Green said in her pre-tournament presser ahead of the 2026 JM Eagle LA Championship. "He jokingly said the reason he won is the fairways are generous and he's known for hitting it very far but perhaps not as accurate as other players. He said it's a really good course."

Is it too much to ask for Mr. Lee to make a guest appearance in the broadcast booth or to pull a Johnson Wagner and break down some key holes and shots next week?!

With each passing year, we're seeing the men and women play the same venues and I think we're long overdue for some sort of cross-over content or YouTube golf-style match to feed the fans...(just saying).

Green continued to say, "My coach has been also out there to see it [the course]. He said I think it will being really good for us women to be there. Even though Carlton Woods was a good venue, I didn't perform well the last three years. I think a fresh course will probably do me well. Looking forward to it.

I hope being closer to Houston we'll have more spectators come out and watch."
