Here are the Teams for This Year’s Grant Thornton Invitational

The PGA TOUR’s calendar year is coming to a close, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t tournaments and events to look forward to between now and the calendar flipping to 2026. We’re fresh off Tiger Woods’ Hero World Challenge in the Bahamas, which always has us thinking about the PNC Championship. (Dec 18-21), and in between the two is the the Grant Thornton Invitational. If you’re unfamiliar with that last one, it’s a co-sanctioned event between the TOUR and the LPGA that pairs together one star from each league to create 16 two-person teams.

Last year, the TOUR’s Jake Knapp and LPGA’s Patty Tavatanakit took home the title at Tiburon Golf Club in Naples, Florida. Come Friday (the tournament is three rounds through the weekend), they’ll be back to defend their title. Here’s a look at all 16 teams competing in this year’s Grant Thornton Invitational.

Patty and Jake took home the title at Tiburon last year and they’re back hoping to do it all over again in 2025. Patty, the World No. 56, finished inside the top 10 three times this season, including just a few weeks ago at the CME Group Tour Championship (T-7). Jake, the 100th-ranked player in the world, grabbed four top-10 finishes in 23 starts in 2025.

This Aussie-Kiwi duo won the inaugural Grant Thornton back in 2023, and grabbed solo sixth last year. Lydia won back in February, while Jason finished inside the top 10 four times in 17 starts.

Lilia and Tony had tough years. They both recorded just one top-10 finish, so this week is a great opportunity for them to finish the year on a high note.

This isn’t the first time Nelly and Denny will play together. They teamed up at the QBE Shootout in 2022, so they should know how they’re going to feed off each other. This is also Nelly’s last chance to get a W in 2025.

We haven’t seen Jessica on the course since 2023, so this is an exciting return! She’ll play with Bud Cauley, one of the best guys out on the TOUR.

I think it’s safe to say that this Canadian duo will be the best-mannered team on property this week. Brooke and Corey finished fourth in 2024 and second in 2023. Don’t be surprised if they win.

While Andrea grabbed six top-10 finishes this season, Billy is still making his way back from injury. His first start back was the BMW PGA Championship (missed cut), and he finished 15th at the Hero World Challenge last week.

If you're unfamiliar with Micheal, he won the Bank of Utah Championship in October as a sponsor exemption. The kid's got game. Put him with one of the best female players in the world, and this pair has a shot to win.

This is my favorite team. Lottie and Luke. Two rising superstars who dominated the amateur and college ranks. Both of these players could be future World No. 1s. (I wouldn’t be shocked if they make a run at this thing.)

If you want to watch drives go a long, long way, this is the tandem for you. These major winners are going to let it rip.

Jennifer and Chris both got wins this year. Jennifer won the ShopRite LPGA Classic in June, while Chris grabbed his across the pond at the Genesis Scottish Open.

It’s always a pleasure to watch Rose Zhang swing a golf club, so I hope she gets a lot of TV coverage this weekend. Plus, Michael has turned into one of Golf Twitter’s favorite players. This should be a fun team.

After winning twice in 2024, Lauren didn’t get back into the winner’s circle this year, but she did finish inside the top 10 five times in 22 starts. Andrew already won a team event this year, teaming with Ben Griffin to take home the title at the Zurich Classic.

Maja won the U.S. Women’s Open this summer, and she’s sure to have a good time at Tiburon with Neal Shipley by her side. Neal will be back on TOUR next year after earning his card this summer.

Angel won in Thailand back in February and Tom racked up four top-10 finishes this season. However, both players haven’t played great of late, so hopefully they can boost each other up come Friday.

Vibes, vibes, vibes. Megan and Keith? If I was going to Tiburon this weekend, this might be the group I would follow the whole time.
