Good Good Steps Away as the Sponsor of a PGA TOUR FedEx Fall Event
The November event is now listed as the "Austin Championship," but the PGA TOUR will provide a sponsor update at a later date.
Hours after Callaway announced it had ended its relationship with Good Good following the controversial video that was posted last week, Good Good posted a statement saying it has stepped away as the sponsor of the PGA TOUR event scheduled for Nov. 12-15.
“We recognize that we have work to do as an organization, and our focus right now is on our team, our culture and ensuring we learn from this situation,” Good Good wrote in a social post. “We are grateful for our relationship with the PGA Tour and appreciate their partnership over the years. We remain committed to earning back trust, and we hope to work together again in the future.”
The TOUR also released a short statement, saying, “We agree with their decision to use this time to focus on their organization and the work ahead.”
On the TOUR’s website, the tournament is now listed as the “Austin Championship,” but it will obtain a new sponsor at a later date.
