2026 Solheim Cup: Meet the 12 Players Heading to Amsterdam for Team Europe

The countdown to the Netherlands officially begins now.

With the majors in the rearview, first-time Euro captain Anna Nordqvist wasted no time in finalizing her squad. Once the final putt dropped at Royal Lytham & St Annes, the first eight members of the team qualified based on the European Solheim rankings (Charley Hull and Esther Henseleit) and Rolex World Rankings (Lottie Woad, Maja Stark, Celine Boutier, Carlota Ciganda, Linn Grant, and Nanna Koerstz Madsen).

Henseleit played herself onto the team with her performance at the AIG Women's Open, highlighted by an insane 45-footer that she absolutely drained. Not only did it seal her fate for the playoff, but also what got her in over Chiara Tamburlini, who had been in prime position to join the team via her LET points.

The points difference between the two is nearly devastating.

Earlier today, Nordqvist announced her four captain's picks in Leona Maguire, Julia Lopez Ramirez, Natasia Naduad, and Mimi Rhodes. Three of which are rookies...a strong decision from the veteran player who will partake in her 10th Solheim Cup in a month's time.

Dutch player Dewi Weber could not be selected as a captain's pick as she does not hold status on the Ladies European Tour.

This is a fairly young squad, with quite a bit of rookies, but I do like the balance that players like Charley Hull and Leona Maguire can and will bring. And as match play always proves, you can never, ever count anyone out.

Team USA's roster will be finalized after the Canadian Women's open later this month.
