If the Teams Were Made Today, Who’s Going to the Solheim Cup in the Netherlands?

The Solheim Cup is weeks away, but the race for a spot on Team USA and Team Europe has officially entered crunch time.

With the final major championship of the year—the AIG Women’s Open—just around the corner and qualifying deadlines approaching, every tournament from here on out carries extra weight. So, if the Solheim Cup started tomorrow, who would be teeing it up?

Here’s where things currently stand.

Not much changed for Team USA after the Amundi Evian Championship, despite several players adding valuable points in France.

World No. 1 Nelly Korda remains the only player to officially clinch her spot, sitting comfortably atop the standings. Behind her, Angel Yin, Jennifer Kupcho and Auston Kim currently occupy the next three automatic qualifying positions.

Kupcho moved into prime position after her T16 finish at Evian, while Kim continues to strengthen her case after another impressive major performance. Her top-10 finish in France marked her second consecutive major championship with a top-10 result, keeping her firmly inside the qualifying line.

Allisen Corpuz, Yealimi Noh, and Lauren Coughlin round out the current automatic qualifying spots, while Andrea Lee sits just outside after a T22 finish at Evian.

The biggest movement could come from the Rolex Women’s World Rankings qualifiers. Right now, Andrea Lee (No. 34) and Lindy Duncan (No. 56) would qualify via rankings, with Jenny Bae and Alison Lee next in line.

That means players like Megan Khang, Rose Zhang and Lexi Thompson remain very much in the mix—but likely need a strong finish to the qualifying window to avoid relying on a captain’s pick. Angela Stanford has three picks, in her back pocket, and I wholeheartedly believe that should use one for Khang if she doesn't get in through the qualifying criteria. I wouldn't be mad at a Yana Wilson pick either, as the 2026 rookie would bring some freshness to the squad.

Her win with partner Gina Kim at the Dow Championship showed us that they're a duo that could secure some points for the red, white, and blue.

Europe's picture is a little less defined with four captain's picks currently filling out the back half of the projected team. Charley Hull leads the way through the LET points race, followed by Chiara Tamburlini, while Lottie Woad and Maja Stark currently qualify through the Rolex Women's World Rankings.

Woad has quickly established herself as one of Europe's most exciting young talents and currently sits No. 5 in the world, making her one of the safest names on the projected roster.

Celine Boutier, Carlota Ciganda, Linn Grant, and Esther Henseleit round out the current automatic qualifiers, giving Europe a strong mix of proven Solheim Cup performers and emerging stars, but there's still plenty of question marks around who will be on the final team, as the biggest question marks come just outside the line.

Nanna Koerstz Madsen and Leona Maguire are the next two players in the Rolex Rankings, while 2026 LPGA rookie Helen Briem and the LET's Agathe Laisne remain in contention through points.

Dutch native Dewi Weber will need to win either the ISPS HANDA Women's Scottish Open or the AIG Women's Open to even be considered, as she does not have status on the European Tour, she can't even be a captain's pick. Her career best finish came last month at the KPMG Women's PGA Championship.

The top eight may be taking shape, but Anna Nordqvist's captain's picks will ultimately define the rest of Team Europe.
