This is the last time I'll be making a ranked list for women's majors until April 2026—and that feels insane to type out into words. Majors season came and went by in a flash, but I have a feeling that the best is yet to come.
Chevron brought a historic five-player playoff that felt a lot like a process of elimination. The U.S. Women's Open at Erin Hills showed us that steady, tempered golf can be rewarded on the biggest stage. KPMG taught us that nature and the elements will always have the last word. And Evian, well that was one of the most thrilling finishes we've seen in quite sometime and folks will be talking about that for a while.
But what will AIG bring? Links golf is unpredictable, but there's one thing we can always count on...the weather being unhinged. Rain, wind, a mixture of both—you truly never know what you're going to get.

This week is a little extra special, because for the first time ever, the AIG Women's Open will be contested in Wales, at the breathtaking Royal Porthcawl. Where rugged oceanic views can be seen on just about every hole.
It'll be a strategic test unlike any other, and players will certainly have their games tested. That said, here are the 15 players that have my attention this week.

2024 AIG Finish: N/A
The hometown hero herself. The 22-year-old rookie will be making her AIG Women's Open debut at the course she grew up playing, no less. It doesn't get more storybook than that. It can be a lot of pressure, the expectation to play well simply because it's your home course—on one of the biggest stages women's golf has to offer. But after speaking with Harry ahead of the competition, she seems as cool as a cucumber. Stay tuned for our conversation that will hit Skratch platforms later this week!
2024 AIG Finish: T-17
Besides being one of my favorite social media follows, Jenny Shin is just an all around easy person to root for. And the 2025 season has been shaping up to be one of her best to date. In 13 starts, Shin has 11 made cuts and one top-10 finish. Shin is coming off of a T-28 finish last week at the Women's Scottish Open.
2024 AIG Finish: T-22
The 2018 AIG Women's Open champion knows a thing or two about links golf. She won that tournament with a two-shot victory at Royal Lytham & St Annes and she's loomed around contention over the last several years, finishing inside the top 25 since 2020. The Englishwoman became just the fourth woman to win the Women's Open after Karen Stupples, Laura Davies and Alison Nicholas.
2024 AIG Finish: MC
People need to stop sleeping on Megan Khang. She joined the LPGA Tour in 2016—and ever since she's been consistent each and every season. She plays a TON of golf. Averaging around 20 rounds per season, and boy, does she know how to see the weekend. So far in 2025, Khang has teed it up in 13 events, she's made 11 cuts, and has amassed three top-10s. Her highest finish came at the Dow Championship, she and Lexi Thompson were the runners up to Somi Lee and Jin Hee Im. Her best solo finish came earlier this season at the Founders Cup in February. Her last missed cut was the the U.S. Women's Open and she finished inside the top 25 at Evian.
2024 AIG Finish: T-37
The Irishwoman is on a bit of a streak, having four consecutive weeks finishing inside the top 20, after missing four consecutive cuts earlier in the summer. It's nice to see Maguire in form, and I really like her game—it suits links golf. She's steady, accurate, and knows the precise moment of when to go for it.

2024 AIG Finish: T-37
The 25-year-old is having an incredible season. With six top-10s, her most recent at the Women's Scottish Open. It was the Lottie Woad show, but Choi held her own going, 73-70-65-72 to finish at 8-under. Choi joined the LPGA in 2022 and what you need to know about her is that she's a made cut machine. Last year she went 22 made cuts out of 27 events, and recorded eight top-10 finishes, including three top-five results.
2024 AIG Finish: T-20
Despite not feeling fully recovered from the virus that forced her to withdraw from the Evian Championship, Charley Hull had a decent week in the office at the Women's Scottish Open, finishing T-21 for the tournament. With just one missed cut for the season, I like the direction Hull's game is trending in this season. She's playing strong, consistent golf and I think she'll manage Royal Porthcawl well.
2024 AIG Finish: T-17
Evian was the major championship performance I wanted to see from Jeeno all year long. She's been lights out since last summer—and a major championship feels inevitable at this point. If she plays her game the way she did in France, I think the trophy is hers to lose.
2024 AIG Finish: T-29
A winner on Tour this season already, Kim was on the brink of earning a second title of 2025 at the Women's Scottish Open. She was chasing down Lottie Woad, who ultimately took the win, but a runner up finish the week before a major is never a bad thing. She flirted with winning a major at Chevron earlier this year, as one of the five players in the playoff, so maybe this time she gets the job done.

2024 AIG Finish: T-10
Angel Yin has been incredibly strong all season long. With 10 made cuts, six top-10s (three of which have come at the last three majors) and one win—Yin is an easy pick to watch this week at AIG.
2024 AIG Finish: Winner
The reigning AIG champion had a magical end to her summer last year. We can never really count Lydia Ko out of anything, even when she's missed the last two cuts. She's proven that her game is built for the links—I believe that Royal Porthcawl is a test that Ko has the potential to conquer.
2024 AIG Finish: MC
Minjee shows up at the majors, and I feel strongly about that for AIG, too. She finished T-21 at the Women's Scottish Open, the final test before the final major of the season. She navigated the winds and tricky conditions of the KPMG Women's PGA masterfully, if wind becomes a factor this week, I believe that Lee will be prepared.
2024 AIG Finish: T-2
The world No.1 hasn't missed a cut this season. Despite being winless in 2025, Korda has remained steady. We all know better than to count her out of anything. She had never teed it up at the Women's Scottish Open, and she fared well—with a solo fifth place finish.
2024 AIG Finish: 6
The two-time major winner, and former AIG Women's Open champion (2016) has played extremely good golf in 2025. I wouldn't dare call it a come back, because she's been here for years—and she's a top-10 machine. She has six of them this season, including at three of the four previous majors. She hasn't missed a major championship cut this season either.

2024 AIG Finish: T-10
Her pro major debut. Fresh off of her maiden win. There's no one else I'd put at the one spot. Lottie Woad, it's your world and we're all just living in it.
