Tom Kim Win's Highlighted By This 2026 Gear Oddity
Tom Kim breaks his winless streak at the Scottish Open, and does it with a piece of gear almost nobody is winning with.
Creative links golf can bring out the best in many golfers, and for Tom Kim, his creativity and shotmaking were front and center this Sunday when he won the Scottish Open at The Renaissance Club in North Berwick by 2 shots over Min Woo Lee.
As far as Tom's gear is concerned, he plays a mixed bag full of Titleist gear, including new GTS3 woods; driver, 3-wood, & 5-wood, but one thing that really stands out, especially when it comes to winners on the PGA Tour in 2026, is a blade putter.

This win makes Tom just the second player on the PGA Tour to win using a blade putter in 2026, with the other wins belonging to multiple time winner Matt Fitzpatrick. This is also the first win of the season for a Scotty Cameron blade, even though the Phantom Mallet series has seen tremendous success since its release.

BUY NOWWhether this is just a statistical outlier based on blade usage or something that we should continue to monitor into next week's Open Championship is yet to be determined. But, considering he seems to have turned the corner on his game, Tom could very well make it back-to-back wins for a blade if things go well at Royal Birkdale
