With the launch of TaylorMade's Qi4D line of drivers and fairway woods, that also means it's time for the rescues and irons to get a new look, too. In the case of the rescues, they follow the same convention as the drivers with the Qi4D, but when it comes to the irons, TaylorMade is moving in a slightly different direction with the Qi Max and Max HL, which is great news for golfers.

TaylorMade does an excellent job incorporating technology through their woods line and into their hybrids, or as they like to call them rescues, which for many golfers has become the "Kleenex" name for hybrid clubs either way.

Although only the core model rescue has adjustability through the lofts, the other models which include the Max and Max Lite all share the same technology package. Those proven technologies include; multi-material construction with a carbon crown, Twist Face bulge and roll progression for reduced spin variation, and thorough speed pocket to help maintain ball speeds on lower face strikes.
Another unique feature designed into the new rescues is a progressive topline that get slightly thicker from the core Qi4D and into the Max and Max Lite options to inspire confidence at address and help those golfers using hybrids to transition easier to their irons.

Speaking of Irons...

Let's get right down to the nuts and bolts - the Qi Max and Max HL irons have been designed to deliver longer, straighter, higher flying shots with stopping power, because distance with irons is useless if you can't hold a green for 145 yards.
Both irons are built with the same technology package, with the Max HL model having an overall larger profile, wider sole, and weaker lofts to help (you guessed it, based on the name) generate a Higher Lanch profile for those golfers who need extra height.

FLTD CG - Pardon the acronym, but this Flighted Center of Gravity design helps to make the longer irons easier to launch, while still creating control in the shorter irons by progressively raising the center of gravity to generate shot-stopping spin.
Speed Pocket - The long and mid irons feature this tried and true TaylorMade technology to help increase the compliance (fancy word for flex) on the bottom of the face so shots hit lower maintain ball speed.

ECHO Dampening - To reduce unwanted and unpleasant acoustics from impact, the Qi Max series irons have an internal stability bar that runs from the back of the iron to the topline. This stabilizes the thinnest parts of the head to lower impact frequencies, with further dampening material behind the face to produce a solid feel.
