PING Just Quietly Expanded Its Wildly Successful Scottsdale Tec Putter Suite
That, and they added a new 'midnight' finish to the G740 irons. Here's why they're both worth a heads up.
If I were to classify PING, they would far and away be considered "Old Money". They're not overly loud about what they do, and when they do talk, they do so with a calm and quiet confidence that says, we know what we're doing here.
They've taken this approach for such a long time that in some cases, products slip into the wild without many golfers taking notice. But today they have some great new pieces of gear hitting stores (and custom order portals) that I think it's important that we take a moment to give you a heads up—especially considering the options they're adding.
Scottsdale Tec Extension
To say the PING Scottsdale Tec putter line has been a success would be an understatement. Not only has it seen huge adoption at the tour level, but the Ally Blue Onset also help lead Wyndham Clark to his second U.S. Open win.
PING has decided to expand the line in North America by adding the Ally Blue H (second from the right), and the Ketsch 4 (second from left) to the Scottsdale Tec series. Not only that but it should be noted that all of these options are available in both right and left handed.

The striking new look sets this putter apart while introducing an exciting new alignment technology to help golfers sink more putts.

Next up we have a new custom option available in the G740 irons and that is the midnight finish.
Look, I know, black and dark finish irons aren't new, but considering most alternate finish options irons are only ever available in more player focused packages, the fact that PING is offering it up on the G740s is pretty cool in my book.

Last but not least, we have to acknowledge the drop of the very limited PLD Milled SE DZB.
This pre-patina'd carbon steel beauty was released in small quantities to select accounts, and features a diamond milling pattern on the sole plus a custom cover and leather grip.
