TaylorMade Hi-Toe 5 Wedges: Shaped For Control, Forged For Feel

The new TaylorMade Hi-Toe 5 wedges bring forged feel to a line of short game tools built for spin, control, and ultimate versatility.

Alternative wedges are alternative for a reason, because they serve a smaller segment of the market compared to traditional offerings in the category. But TaylorMade is looking to bring the alternative to the masses with the introduction of the Hi-Toe 5, with more tech and more fitting options than ever before.
"Hi-Toe has always been designed to be different. The expanded toe, the full-face grooves, the willingness to look different in the bag. Those are the unique features that drew players to this wedge line in the first place.
Now, the carbon steel construction delivers a softer, more responsive feel at impact, and the precision tolerances of a forged head produce the kind of consistent feedback that allows golfers to dial in distance and trajectory shot after shot. Pair that with a broad selection of grinds to fit all different swing types and playing conditions, and there's a configuration in this lineup to help everyone play with more confidence around the green."

Saw-Mill Grooves With Spin Tread

Saw Mill grooves allow for extremely tight groove geometry, while the spin tread face texture helps to channel moisture away to generate more friction. The result is 13% more spin retention than previous versions, according to TaylorMade's testing.

Precision Milled Grinds

Just like with the MG5 line of wedges, the Hi-Toe 5 features a full selection of grind options that have been CNC milled onto the soles to eliminate human error from the process. This guarantees that each wedge grind is the same club after club.

Maximum Customization

With the Hi-Toe 5, TaylorMade has further expanded its "My" customization program to include a huge selection of custom options including additional finishes.

Hi-Toe 5 Grind Options

The Hi-Toe 5 wedges come in 5 different sole grinds to help golfers who play in various conditions and have different swing profiles into the ball. There are 4 stock options, and then 1 extra available through custom.
ATS - This grind is engineered to fit a wide variety of players and features a four-way cambered sole to deliver versatility on shots played in both a neutral and open-faced position.
ATV - This iconic grind brings together a concave sole with variable bounce from the heel to the toe allowing the leading edge to sit lower when the face is opened, but with a rounded leading edge to also prevent digging.
ATX - This mid-high bounce options adds a lot of forgiveness for players who are steeper into the ball or play a lot of shots with their hands ahead at impact. The rounded trailing edge still offers smooth turf interaction so you get a wider sole that plays like a thinner one.
ATW - This wide sole grind offers max forgiveness, especially in soft turf and sand conditions, and is designed for players who are looking to simplify their short game and rely on a majority of square faced shots.
ATC (Custom Only) - This low bounce, narrow-sole shape is designed for maximum control in firmer condition and from tight lies, making it a great option for players with a shallow attack into the ball. **The ATC grind is offered for right-handed players in both custom options and in the MyHi-Toe 5 wedge personalization program.**
