IKEA Has the Golf Gear Solution You Didn't Know You Needed (Until Now)

Golfers love gear. Whether it be shoes, bags, headcovers, balls, hats, or the many other things that we collect, eventually it adds up and takes up space—especially if one of the things you collect is clubs. This is why, for those golf nuts who love everything gear, IKEA is the perfect place to help solve your golf gear organizing issues.

You're also probably wondering, what does a store that sells desks, baby cribs, stuffed animals, bookshelves, picture frames, clocks, and dinnerware have to do with golf? A lot more than you might think. So let me tell you about my favorite IKEA “golf” hacks and accessories.

I'll admit that I'm likely a bit of an outlier when it comes to how many golf clubs I own, but honestly, how does a man resist buying old Titleist 975D drivers when you can snag good ones for $20? But, on the other hand, I've also been told by more than one person over the years that my collection has allowed others to appear "normal", so either way I call it a win-win.

And, with so many clubs, I needed a better way to store them than just throwing them into staff bags, because as much as I love those too, they take up a LOT of extra space. This is where IKEA’s Hejne storage shelving.

The IKEA Hack comes from adding extra shelves (which are easily purchased seprately) to all of the pre-drilled post holes which turns the shelf unit into a rack. Its really just a rack hack. This way you can load in up with clubs and save a ton of space. Plus, with each of the shelves rated for over 100lbs of weight, you dont haveto worry about a couple of iron sets on eash one.

If you collect something a little smaller, like headcovers, then I have a storage and display solution for you - the IKEA Skadis.

This pegboard comes in three colors and multiple sizes so you can design the ideal display for your favorite headcovers. It also comes with several other fixtures, so you can store all your ball marks and other small accessories in one place.

Also pictured above are a couple of MOSSLANDA shelves to the right which make great ledges for pictures of to hold your Tiger Woods bobblehead.

As golfers, we always need a few extra things to help keep our gear clean and tidy, and if you’re looking for towels (so many colors!!) brushes, baskets, or shoe racks (the GREJIG shoe rack below is a clear favorite of mine). IKEA is also loaded with all of those essentials too.
